Ashley
Dowson, Chairman, occupied senior positions in Barclays bank over a 30
year period, latterly Chief Operating Officer & Managing Director, Barclays
Group Treasury, Director of Liquidity Management, and Head of Systemic
Risk Management. Ashley was an EBA Board Member during the period
of the introduction of the Euro and was highly instrumental in the creation
of
the EBA EURO1 clearing system. He used his experience in risk management
to co-found the International Foreign Exchange Master Agreement
(IFEMA) with the British Bankers Association and created the International
Deposit
Netting Agreement (IDNA).
